we watched the sun set over the ocean. for living in california, i don't often sit there and watch the sun ever so slowly dip towards the horizon, just before it starts to slip faster than you'd expect under the water.

i saw the shadows the dancing waves made on the sand, which was sparkling gold with the last light of the sun. i've never seen that before.

i thought about how the beauty of it all would be impossible to capture on film... utterly impossible.
