in other news, i once again have to pretend that my family name wasnt changed three times in the last 80 or so years. this time it wasn't that i had to pretend that my name wasn't changed when i was in junior high... no, i have to pretend that my great grandparents always had the last name that i was born with- not that they changed it when my grampa was a teenager.

i had to send fake graduation announcement name cards with our old last name to my relatives back east when i was a senior in high school. i will refuse to do the same for college graduation. i am sarah drake, and i'm proud of my name. my great grandma is dead, and she was supposedly the person that would be offended if she knew we changed our name. the truth is, she wouldn't have been. its all my grampa.
