My dad is having an emergency appendectomy right now... Ever since Aunt Barb died, I've been much more worried about family members suddenly becoming ill or dying.

Last night I got a call from an uncle's cell phone after 9 pm (I never get calls from them) and I immediately was afraid it was about a family member. It was just my Aunt calling about an Ebay auction she thought I'd be interested in.

Right after school today Mom called me to tell me that they were at the ER and Dad was having surgery. I'm sure everything will be okay, but it is still upsetting. My parents were supposed to come up for my birthday this weekend, but now I'm sure they won't.
