we ended up staying in ventura straight through till last night, for my aunt and uncles 30th anniversary party. it was really fun- ate all sorts of crazy gourmet food, and was fascinated by the caterers. (i want to be a caterer now!) they arranged the food all pretty. ;o)

saturday i read "the hundred secret senses" by amy tan (she also wrote "the joy luck club" and "the kitchen god's wife.") i recommend the book- i kept reading reading reading till i finished it at 1.30 am.

oh- one of my roomates went to our apartment and everything was fine- nothing fell and broke. although her boyfriend's sister who lives farther away from the epicenter than us had an entire bookshelf fall and break everything around and in it. :oP
