on the way to steve's parents' house for a memorial day barbeque today, i drove past a giant purple sea anenome on the asphalt. it takes forty minutes to drive here from the ocean, so how does an anenome travel that kind of distance? it certainly didn't skip to san jose...

i'm trying to finish report cards early, since i am completely freaking out about how much i need to do before the end of the school year.

i don't even know yet when i will be moving classrooms. i mean, i assume i'll be moving classrooms- no one has told me i am. i wish i could stay, since my portable is way bigger than the normal classrooms at my school. i assume the new 5th grade teacher will get the room...

i hope it doesn't take 2 weeks to get my room ready, like last time.

finally back from science camp! this weekend will be sweet. no more working 24 hour days! no more bug bites! no more stinky 5th graders not wanting to take showers!

i am actually posting from camp. we are totally roughing it, what with the wireless internet and all... but yes. i am slightly sunburned and VERY TIRED after only 13 hours at camp. my eyes are burning, so i guess it is time to sleep. :oP

camp food is fun.

PETA is a lot more retarded than i thought it was. i like their website for kids called http://milksucks.com. i learned lots of things, like that milk causes osteoperosis, heart disease, cancer, and autism. wow. someone should like... tell the doctors cause i don't think they know that.

oh, you can also play a game where you put dairy products into a trailer trash guy's mouth, and then he vomits.

we went to a hookah bar last night with some friends. it was quite cool, i thought.

wow. almost a quarter of my students weigh more than i did my freshman year of college. in fact, two of them weigh more than i do now

and then theres my tiny boy who comes up to the doorknob and weighs less than i even expected...

got a haircut. its shoulder length, and according to the steve, very cute. i like it, even though it maybe isn't quite as punk rock as i was hoping. of course, you don't get punk rock hair without asking for punk rock hair. it does look supercute in pigtails again, though. it hasn't been this short since about 2002. fun fun fun with the hair

went to bakersfield this last weekend.
