Your Future Together...

That is the title of the informative pamphlet Steve and I were given by the guy who gave us our Marriage License this afternoon. It is mostly concerned with making sure we know that we could MAKE A BABY oh my goodness.

Look at this photo.

I can't tell if this lady is eating yogurt, or if she is using her beer can as an ashtray.

T -35 hrs

In 35 hours I'll be getting married. I feel like today went at light speed, and I have no idea what is going on. I can do the little things, like making the guest book or CDs of music for the reception, but I have no clue about all the big picture stuff. Ugh. I don't even know when my maid of honor is getting into town.

My mom says that one day, she accidentally took the dog's thyroid medication instead of one of her own pills.

Today I got Tony (cat) to hunt and eat the spider I found in the box from the garage, because I was too lazy to squish it. Awesome! A few weeks ago he actually killed and ate a FLY. It was flying around and he smashed it against the window.

Kitties are useful!

Here is a photo of Tony helping make the wedding favors/place cards:

Here is the best wedding story I can think of right now:

Juliette Low, founder of the Girl Scouts, got a piece of rice lodged in her ear during her wedding when the guests tossed it as the new bride and groom left. And it made her go DEAF in that ear.

Yay weddings!

Everything today happened wrong.

1) Costco printed my photos wrong for the second time. They are greeeeen instead of sepia, but only the 5x7's. The 4x6's are okay. I have to go back for a third time to see if they meet with my approval, or if I will make them run them again. Evidently there was something wrong with the processing chemicals that are used for that size. (Different sizes, different chemicals? Strange.)

2) Secret things for secret Steve surprises were unsatisfactory and must be re-done. Secret!

3) The yarn I bought for the Hanami Stole may be all wrong for the pattern. Also, I bought a retarded crochet hook that was much larger than it says it is, and I bought the wrong beads. Two things of wrong beads.

For all of these things I have been driving ALL OVER town. 150 miles in just 3 days! Around town! Most of that in traffic!

Since my last post, I've been to Irvine and back to do more wedding planning. There is so much more still to do...

This is the second summer I've had "off" in the last 6 years. The first summer "off" I moved to San Jose, and prepared for my first year of teaching. This time it is the wedding planning, along with moving.

Anyways, I managed to get to Orange County and back two times in a row without doing any driving myself. Go knitting time! And napping time. I've been working on my mom's sock and the scarf that has been sitting around not doing much since early spring.
